We have supplied the sorting technology for the WE|DO sorting and distribution centre in Ostředek. The logistics superhub is equipped with eleven unloading ramps, a picking conveyor with a speed of 2.7 m/s, a 5D scanner with shipment weighing, a conveyor line for manual processing of shipments, a sorting line with two 50-meter linear sorters for distribution of shipments to the dispatch gates, a line for non-standard and oversized shipments and a separate conveyor system for manual coding and labelling of shipments.
The superior conveyor speed was achieved through a virtual twin layout of the entire operation created in Emulate3D. Conveyor speed for merging is up to 2.7 m/s.
